Kaelani's Kuddles

Hi, my name is Kaelani and I am a 14 year old high schooler. For the past 9 years I have provided stuffed animals, or "Kuddles," to children faced with varying illnesses and requiring hospitalization over Valentine’s Day. It's all with the goal to inspire faith, hope, and love, and bring happiness to them at this time.​

 

My mission began when I was 4 years old and was inspired to start making cards for kids in the hospital during this time of year. I continued with this over the course of the next two years, before deciding I wanted to do more! In 2016 began the idea of donating stuffed animals or "Kuddles" as I have come to call them. Since 2016 I have received donations from family and friends, as well as contributing my own money towards buying, wrapping, and creating handmade cards for each child in the hospital. With the help of just family and friends, the cause grew from being able to donate to 2 hospitals in 2016, to 3 hospitals in 2017. In 2018 I had a goal of providing "Kuddles" to 5 hospitals in the region during Valentines Day and exceeded that goal with your support by being able to add an outpatient chemo clinic to the list of recipients! In 2019 we donated to 6 Hospitals and 1 Foster Care agency. Even during the years of the pandemic, we were able to continue providing “Kuddles” and impacting lives across the region! My goal has continued since to reach children outside the hospital walls in the community facing difficult and challenging circumstances, and with all your love and support I hope to continue sharing the faith, hope, and love!

 

While this cause is not currently associated with an official non-profit organization, my goal is to eventually create an official non-profit charity of my own, in name of this effort!​ Please join me as I look to bring joy, smiles, and happiness to the faces of children in need of support, encouragement, and love! 100% of all proceeds received will go into buying and wrapping new stuffed animals.
